Please Help Joplin Residents

The generosity of quilters has resulted in the Town and Country Quilters of Joplin, Missouri, receiving large amounts of supplies and quilts. Members of the guild will plan how to use the donations.

I am aware of three non-profit agencies in Joplin serving victims of the tornado. The first, Children's Haven, is serving many children from the 8,000 families that lost their homes. Two churches, College Heights Christian Church and Forest Park Baptist Church, are in the portion of Joplin that suffered the most damage.

Forest Park Baptist Church: 417-623-4606; http://joplin.fpbc.net/

Thank you for considering the needs of these tornado victims. When President Obama promised residents that we would be with them every step of the way, he was referring to us. Government agencies with serious budget constraints are responding to countless natural disasters. They cannot respond to all of the needs. Please join me in helping the striken residents of Joplin.
